Madam Lockton : For Madam Lockton, I chose a black heart. I chose a black heart because I do not feel that Madam knows what it is to love something other than herself. She is vain, cruel, and malicious, which goes against what we learn in our Catholic faith. We are taught to be compassionate and giving people who are always looking to lend a helpful hand and a kind of word. Madam Lockton has the ability and means to help Isabel and her sister, but instead chooses to do the opposite. I feel the black heart is a reflection of who she is on the inside. It is almost like she is empty... hollow. Isabel: This photo represents the anger that Isabel feels. She bottles everything up and often thinks of what she would do to take revenge on Madam, but rarely, if ever, voices her feelings or takes action. This is what I think Isabel feels while dealing with Madam and the situations she encounters. Isabel mentioned that her father was like a lion and she feels like she is like him; therefore, this photo represents Isabel and her family.
